Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon is summoned to investigate the murder of a physicist at a Swiss research facility. The victim's chest bears a mysterious symbol—the brand of the Illuminati, a secret society thought to have been extinct for centuries. As Langdon teams up with scientist Vittoria Vetra, they uncover a plot to destroy Vatican City using antimatter stolen from the research facility.
