The Stewart family spends a frosty December day at London Zoo where they become enchanted by a small penguin. To their surprise, the penguin named Einstein shows up at their door later that evening—backpack and all. As the children Imogen and Arthur get to know him, their lives change: Arthur becomes braver, Imogen begins her detective work, and they all try to figure out why Einstein came and whether he can stay.
