A young girl moves to a new country and faces the challenges of starting school where everything feels unfamiliar—new language, new classmates, new culture. She is accompanied everywhere by her companion, Fear, a small figure who grows larger as her worries increase. Fear keeps her from joining in, making friends, and feeling safe. But when she discovers that everyone carries their own fears, she learns how to live with hers, and even how to shrink it by reaching out and connecting with others.
