One Day is a story of courage and determination.
It is a story of a man and his two daughters who ran from Kisumu western province of Kenya during the post election violence. Njuguna lost his pregnant wife, his business and his home painfully, in a moment of chaos.
Their new home, a slum in the outskirts of Mombasa, Kenya's second largest city, presents with new challenges. They have to scavenge, for a livelihood. One of the girls decide that it is morally right for her to sell her body to help out her sister who is desperately ill. But the father in spite of all the hardship, will hear none of it.
One Day will move many to tears and it is an eye - opener about the consequences of violence.
This story should prick our conscience to ask how come we have allowed two world to exist alongside eachother, with members of the affluent one oblivious of the suffering of the other.

One Day: There is a sun for each and everyone!
