Outlaw tells the story of Alan Dale, who, after being caught stealing, must leave his family and join a ruthless band of outlaws in Sherwood Forest. As he learns to navigate a world of danger, loyalty, and betrayal, Alan comes to see that Robin Hood is not the gallant hero of legend, but a complex and often ruthless figure. Alan must decide where his loyalties lie, and how far he will go in the name of justice, revenge, and survival. The novel reimagines familiar Robin Hood lore through a darker, grittier lens.
