Dullandon Primary School is run very strictly under Headmaster Shrapnell’s timetable—everything from lesson structure to behavior is tightly controlled. Then a new supply teacher arrives: Miss Pandemonium. Her unconventional ideas quickly shake things up. Kids start making “Friendship Cake,” attempting daring stunts (like flying home-made helicopters), and even the Head is persuaded to cross the swimming pool in a leaky tin tub. Though initially appalled, Mr Shrapnell is won over when the school inspector praises the creativity and spirit she has fostered.
