Set in 1399, Queen of the North follows Elizabeth Mortimer, a woman caught in the turbulent politics of medieval England. With King Richard II's reign weakening and Henry of Lancaster returning to reclaim the throne, Elizabeth believes her eight-year-old nephew, Edmund, is the rightful king. Determined to protect her family's northern lands and secure Edmund's future, she secretly defies her husband's wishes and supports the formation of a rebel army. Her loyalty to the king is questioned, and she faces the perilous consequences of challenging the established order.
