Queenie follows Queenie Jenkins, a 25-year-old Jamaican-British woman living in London. After a painful breakup with her white boyfriend, Tom, she spirals into self-destructive behavior—struggling with her mental health, her career, and her sense of identity. Queenie seeks validation through a string of unhealthy relationships while also facing the pressures of being a Black woman in predominantly white spaces.

Supported by her close-knit group of friends and her traditional Jamaican family, especially her grandmother, Queenie begins to confront her past traumas and mental health issues. Through therapy and introspection, she slowly starts rebuilding her life, reclaiming her voice, and understanding her worth.

The novel blends humor and heartbreak while tackling serious themes like racism, mental illness, cultural identity, and self-love. It's a raw, honest, and ultimately empowering story of a young woman learning to navigate life on her own terms.
