Louise is scraping by in New York — juggling low-paid jobs, a shabby apartment, and the constant pressure of trying to become a writer.
 
Then she meets Lavinia, a gorgeous, rich socialite who seems to have everything: money, beautiful clothes, a glamorous apartment, and connections.
 
Lavinia invites Louise into her world — sharing her friends, her drugs, her lifestyle, and even her Uber account. But as Louise becomes more deeply entangled in Lavinia’s life, she realizes the friendship is dangerous and unsustainable.
