Eleven-year-old Maxwell is always getting into trouble — he’s a bit of a menace to his teachers and his older sister. But when he stumbles into a mysterious cabinet of curiosities, he suddenly finds himself erased from existence: like he’s never been born. At first, that sounds like freedom — no more scolding, no more expectations — but then Maxwell realizes what it means to truly belong, and what parts of himself — his friendships, his impact — he can’t lose. With help from his sister Bex and his friend Charlie, he must reverse the erasure before everything he cares about disappears.
