Set in Blackpool, 1918, The Fortune Tellers follows Martha, who uses the gift of prophecy she inherited from her late grandmother to read futures on Blackpool’s promenade. As she works her tent, she forms a deep friendship with Trisha, whose life is complicated by pregnancy and an abusive marriage. Though they live in one of the poorest streets in town, their bond helps them navigate hardship, poverty, and loss. Against a backdrop of wartime struggle and social constraint, a chance encounter threatens to change their fortunes forever.
