Greg Heffley’s dad is determined to toughen him up. He’s planned a series of “manly” activities and even threatened military school if Greg keeps slacking. Greg spends much of the story trying to dodge the effort—but when it becomes clear his dad isn’t kidding, Greg realises he’ll have to change or get shipped out.
