Barry Bennett, a 9-year-old boy who loves James Bond and football, is dissatisfied with his life. He finds his parents boring and feels overshadowed by his twin sisters. After wishing for better parents, Barry is transported to an alternate universe called United Kid-dom, where children can select their parents before their tenth birthday. With only five days remaining, Barry tests five different sets of parents, each more eccentric than the last, including the ultra-fit Fwahms and the celebrity-obsessed Vlassorinas. Through these experiences, Barry learns valuable lessons about family and appreciation.
