In a quiet lakeside town in Georgia, seven people are found brutally murdered at a place called the Summer House. The main suspects are four Army Rangers recently back from Afghanistan. To get to the bottom of the case, the Army sends Major Jeremiah Cook, a battle-hardened veteran and former NYPD officer, to lead the investigation.

As Major Cook and his team dig deeper, they face hostility from local police who seem intent on blocking the truth. The investigation uncovers dark secrets and dangerous lies, revealing that powerful people want to keep the massacre’s real story hidden.

With time running out and danger closing in, Major Cook must confront his own past demons to expose the truth and deliver justice. The novel is a fast-paced thriller filled with suspense, military insight, and small-town tension.
