In The Most Dangerous Game, mutants convicted of capital crimes are released on a remote island, where they are hunted by “contestants” for entertainment. Longshot has survived the longest, but when the X-Men are sent to rescue him, they soon find themselves ensnared in the game. Mojo, the media mogul behind the spectacle, demands that Angel (a member of the team) be traded for Longshot—or face dire consequences. As the game intensifies, loyalties fracture and the motivations of Professor X come under scrutiny. What begins as a rescue mission becomes a fight for survival, as the X-Men must outwit a twisted system that views their very existence as spectacle.
