The story follows a father and his four children, along with their dog, on an adventurous bear hunt. As they journey through various terrains—long wavy grass, a deep cold river, thick oozy mud, a big dark forest, and a swirling whirling snowstorm—they encounter challenges that require teamwork and determination. Their excitement peaks when they find a narrow, gloomy cave, where they come face-to-face with a bear. The encounter leads to a hasty retreat back through the obstacles, culminating in a safe return home, where the family decides, "We're not going on a bear hunt again!"
