This is a retold version of the classic Brothers Grimm fairy tale:

A hardworking but poor shoemaker has only enough leather to make one pair of shoes. When he leaves the leather out overnight, two tiny elves craft a beautiful pair of shoes that he sells for a good price. Similarly, the next night they make another pair, helping his fortunes turn around. In gratitude, the shoemaker and his wife fashion tiny clothes and shoes for the elves. The elves are delighted, dance away joyfully, and never return—but the shoemaker’s business continues to prosper
